4

Is this tip calculator free?
Yes, completely free. No registration, no hidden costs, no premium tiers. All features are available to everyone.
What is the default tip percentage?
The default is 15%, which is the baseline for standard restaurant service in the United States. You can change it to any value between 0% and 100%.
Can I enter a custom tip percentage?
Yes. Use the "Custom" input field below the preset buttons to enter any percentage you want, including decimal values like 17.5%.

Troubleshooting

Calculator shows an error

Make sure you've entered a valid number in the bill field. The bill must be a positive number and can include decimals (e.g., 45.67).

"Calculating..." doesn't finish

This usually means a network issue. Check your internet connection and try again. If the problem persists, try refreshing the page.

Results look incorrect
